Vintage Roses and Blushing Brides

After sleepless nights worrying about getting just the right shade of faded pink for the bride's bouquet, the roses finally arrived and were perfect. With the wedding set in the grounds of a stately home, lambs playing in the fields and the sun shinning, it had to be a good omen.

It's been a busy week at Spriggs Florist, with a new sign for the shop, window displays to create, client's houses to decorate, weddings to organise and more brides to meet, it's a wonder that Matthew gave me time to compose our second blog.

With the lovely Miss Pickering setting the blogging standard for witty one liners
and useful cooking tips, it's a hard act to follow.

So for now I will just show you beautiful images of the arrangements that went out for today's wedding.

Matthew is of to Wisley tomorrow, so I shall badger him into taking a few snaps of the tulips and general gorgeousness and share with you next week.

If you are having asparagus this weekend - don't over cook it and serve with lashings of lemon butter.

Buy flowers - lots of them - enjoy the sunshine, listen to The Archers and have a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
