i am so in love with the silk tassel bush

they are so very long this year - our neighbour's have a fine specimen

it is now missing a few - i'm sure they will never notice

and the perfume from the mahonia is so sweet

that's also borrowed from another neighbours garden

but the vase is available at Spriggs Florist

what to send to your girl or boy on valentines

it feels like we just just done Christmas

and now the shop has been loved up

we do get some funny looks when photographing in the dark

but its brilliant as we don't get any reflection from the cars

more hearts to follow

along with suggestions and helpful present ideas

A classic green bus, horticulturist & lots of headdresses

back in july we did this wedding

it was such a hot summers day

headdresses are making a come back

and not just for the flower girls

for big girls to

but i'm not so sure for big boys...

its good to take a moment

to calm the mind from the chaos that is a florist shop at Christmas

its been busy - very busy

which is fantastic

but it was nice to have the time to photograph this job

every year we decorate this house and this year they asked for something a bit wilder

the sun shone at just the right moment to get some great shadow shots

tomorrow its back to weddings

Winter Whites at Ramster Hall

Such a lovely venue for a winter wedding - Ramster Hall near Chiddingfold in Surrey is a beautiful timber framed house.  I say house in the loosest of terms - it has a long hall, a brick hall, a great drawing room and gardens to die for.  So yes it is a house, albeit a rather grand one, but not at all stuffy - with pictures by Mr Gunn, Japanese Samurai warriors, swords and shield!

We filled the great drawing room with vases of scented freesia, roses and ranunculus - then lots & lots of candles.

We have a few days free of weddings - so it is back to the shops and preparations for Christmas.
