something old and something new

or to be more precise, take an old piece of lace
add some seed pearls found in the bottom of my sew box,
spend a few hours sewing in the garden
& the results are a beautiful & unique stem wrap.

the tables were then decorated with lots of white gypsophilia in silver bowls
& on tall candelabras

early mornings in petworth park

today's blog features some of this mornings activity in Petworth Park

with special guest appearances from Clara, Petal & Percy

the shop will be open for a couple of hours then it will be back

home for slow cook venison casserole - minus the bits that Petal helped herself to yesterday.

autumnal wedding at The Walled Garden, Cowdray

hydrangeas, roses, dahlias, narines

these are a few of my favourite flowers this month

closely followed by berries, hips and pinky tinged foliages.

just perfect for Angela's wedding today at The Walled Garden

they even had cake in the garden - who would have guessed when planning a wedding in October.

Tomorrow we will be posting pictures from the park

Clara and Petal will be making a guest appearance

along with some rather handsome beasts who are strutting their stuff.
