a few weeks ago Matthew went shopping

now all the goodies have now arrived

been unpacked

with much oohing and aahing

(no names mention..... but put that down Sharon)

they are for sale in both shops

so do pop in

they would make lovely presents

either for yourself or to give

the choice is yours

Christmas in Petworth, Part One

Christmas 

whether you like it or not

its beginning to take over Petworth

lights are being put up, windows planned & decorated

work shops, mince pies & the leconfield singers

Christmas Concert

(tickets are still available but going fast)

we will remember

a very berry wedding

Berry Chic

having done "hedgerow chic" & "just gathered from the garden"

we were asked for arrangements with lots of berries and foliages

with just coral amaryllis, Juliet roses & hydrangeas as the only flowers

the berries, hips & foliages took centre stage in the table displays.

it was a jolly do by all accounts with dancing into the early hours

so raise you glasses for Victoria & James

as we wish you a very berry wedding day

Snakes & ladders

it really isn't very often that we are given a couple of black bags full of

plastic snakes, rats, bats & cobwebs and then asked to decorate

the dining room

but that is what we did

adding carved pumpkins, 

autumnal leaves (our favourite was Liquid Amber)

chinese lanterns & rose hips

the scene was set for a monster supper party
